About Us
Thank You for visiting the site of the Mansfield Area Historical Society & Museum. The Mansfield Area Historical Society & Museum became a reality thru a meeting between area residents interested in history and genealogy, and the Mansfield Community Betterment Association / Chamber of Commerce. In July 2003 we held our final organization meeting and adopted a set of By-Laws to help govern our organization as well as submitted our legal organization paperwork to the state of Missouri. In February 2004 we received our 501(c)(3) designation from the Federal government.
Since 2003 we have been actively preserving the history of Mansfield and the surrounding area. We found a building to house a museum and as the saying goes, the rest is history.
